SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYHEMATOSUS

It’s a systemic, inflammatory and auto-immune Disease. It affects mostly women in their twenties or their thirties. The onset of the Disease is often an important fatigue, fever; cutaneous lesions (butterfly face mask), rheumatic involvement. The disease might start with a renal, cardiac or pulmonary involvement. Its severity is related to renal, cardiac, vascular, neuropsychiatric involvement, and to the occurrence of infections sometimes serious. Pregnancy is a risk situation for the mother and the child as well, if there is not good Management.

Without treatment, this disease might lead to death, renal failure, stroke or myocardial infarction.
